The media team of Dr. Jamilu Isiyaku Gwamna, the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate in Gombe State, has expressed gratitude to party members and residents for their support and active participation in the recently concluded party primaries.
In a statement issued by Gwamna’s media aide, Mahmoud Muhammad, the team said the impressive turnout of stakeholders across the state reflected strong confidence in the APC and further reinforced Gombe’s reputation for political unity ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The statement noted that Gwamna participated in the exercise alongside delegates and stakeholders from all 11 local government areas.
It quoted Gwamna as saying that both he and Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya remain committed to working closely with key stakeholders in the best interest of the state, stressing that the welfare of the people remains paramount.
The media team also referenced remarks by elder statesman Abu Ma’azu, who reportedly described the conduct of the primaries as consistent with Gombe’s long-standing political culture rooted in consensus, maturity, and dialogue.
According to the statement, these values should continue to guide emerging politicians and strengthen unity within the state’s political environment.
Gwamna’s camp further urged supporters to remain calm and united, reaffirming the candidate’s commitment to inclusive governance and the continuation of development efforts.
It added that Gwamna is ready to work across political divides to tackle key challenges facing the state, including youth unemployment, inadequate rural infrastructure, and gaps in healthcare delivery.
The statement also indicated that he intends to collaborate with the administration of Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya to sustain ongoing development initiatives and expand progress if elected governor in 2027.
The media team commended residents for maintaining peace throughout the primaries, noting that their conduct has further strengthened Gombe’s standing as a model of democratic engagement in Northern Nigeria.
