The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has refuted reports alleging that it is conducting a clandestine recruitment exercise, describing the claims as false and misleading.
In a statement, the anti-graft agency cautioned members of the public against falling for the viral misinformation, noting that such reports are the handiwork of fraudsters seeking to exploit unsuspecting individuals.
The commission emphasised that all its recruitment processes are transparent and publicly announced through official channels. It urged job seekers to rely only on verified information from the EFCC and disregard unofficial messages or advertisements circulating online.
The EFCC also warned that those behind the spread of fake recruitment information could face legal consequences, reiterating its commitment to protecting the public from scams and misinformation.
