Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has called for an investigation into the deaths of suspected illegal miners who reportedly died while in the custody of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC).
Atiku urged relevant authorities to establish the circumstances surrounding the deaths and ensure that anyone found responsible is held accountable.
He stressed the need for transparency and respect for the rights of detainees, calling for appropriate measures to prevent similar incidents in the future.
