Edo North Senator Adams Oshiomhole has revealed how he was removed as national chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC.
Speaking in an interview on AIT, Oshiomhole said he was sacked during a Zoom meeting held at the Aso Rock Villa.
He attributed President Muhammadu Buhari’s 2015 election victory to his competence and strategy.
“I led the party to victory under Buhari. Together with my colleagues in the National Working Committee, NWC, we resolved the leadership tussle in the National Assembly — both the Senate and House of Representatives — without stress.
“The president didn’t have to criss-cross the country. We handled the marketing, explanation, persuasion, and all the tools needed to manage democracy.
“Once the system stabilised, I was sacked via Zoom. When they couldn’t remove me democratically, they claimed eight members of my ward passed a vote of no confidence on me.
“They took the matter to court and got an interim order. I appealed it and the Court of Appeal quashed it. Three weeks later, the same court reinstated the order. A few days after that, I saw for the first time a National Executive Council, NEC, meeting held via Zoom in the villa,” he said.
