Ekiti State Governor, Biodun Oyebanji, has approved the disbursement of ₦645.4 million in assistance to victims of rainstorms, fire disasters and other emergencies across the state.
The intervention is aimed at helping affected individuals and communities recover from losses suffered during the disasters and restore their livelihoods.
The governor said the support was part of his administration’s commitment to providing timely assistance to residents affected by unforeseen disasters and strengthening the state’s social protection programmes.
He also urged residents to remain vigilant and take necessary precautions to reduce the impact of disasters, while assuring affected communities of the government’s continued support.
