# PHOTOS: Soludo, Wife Receive Oluremi Tinubu at Anambra Airport
Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, on Thursday arrived at the Chinua Achebe International Airport, Umueri, Anambra State, where she was received by Governor Chukwuma Soludo and his wife, Dr Nonye Soludo.
The First Lady was welcomed at the airport by the governor, his wife and other top government officials who gathered at the airport to receive her and members of her delegation.
Governor Soludo and his wife exchanged pleasantries with the First Lady after she disembarked from the aircraft before accompanying her through the official reception protocol.
Oluremi Tinubu’s visit to Anambra is part of her engagements in the South-East and is expected to feature the launch of the National Community Food Bank Programme for the South-East zone.
The programme is designed to support vulnerable members of society, particularly women and children affected by malnutrition. It is being implemented in collaboration with the National Primary Healthcare Development Agency and other partners.
The First Lady is also expected to commission an Information and Communication Technology Centre at the Federal Polytechnic, Oko, as part of activities lined up during her visit.
According to officials involved in the programme, the National Community Food Bank initiative is aimed at addressing malnutrition among children and women by providing food support through designated centres.
The centre to be established at Amawbia Primary Health Centre is expected to serve beneficiaries across Anambra Central, while supporting related interventions in the Anambra South and North senatorial districts.
The visit has also provided an opportunity for interaction between the Federal Government and the Anambra State Government on programmes focused on healthcare, food security, women empowerment and youth development.
The reception at the airport marked the beginning of the First Lady’s official engagements in the state, with government officials and other stakeholders expected to participate in the scheduled activities.
