Katsina State Governor, Dikko Radda, has joined the nation in commemorating the 2026 National Police Day, acknowledging the unwavering dedication and sacrifices of police officers across the country. In a statement released by his Chief Press Secretary, Ibrahim Mohammed, Radda praised the critical role police play in safeguarding lives and property, citing their exceptional contributions to security in Katsina and beyond.
“Their bravery and commitment to protecting citizens are truly commendable,” Radda said, urging residents to cooperate with security agencies and provide information to combat crime and insecurity. He emphasized the importance of community-police collaboration, stating, “We must work together to strengthen security at the grassroots level”.
Radda also pledged continued government support for the police force in Katsina State, promising better equipment, training, and welfare for officers. “Our administration is committed to providing whatever support the police need to effectively combat rising violence and criminal activities,” he said.
The governor extended his gratitude to all police officers in Katsina State, praying for their safety and continued success in their operations. This gesture comes amidst ongoing security challenges in the state, including recent bandit attacks that have claimed lives and property.
