Babajide, Oladipo Celebrate Domestic Double With AS Roma

Nigerian internationals Rinsola Babajide and Shukurat Oladipo have added another major honour to their growing collection after AS Roma edged Juventus in a dramatic Coppa Italia Women final to complete a historic domestic double.

The tightly contested final ended 1–0 in favour of the Giallorosse, with Manuela Giugliano scoring the decisive goal ten minutes before full time.

The victory secured Roma’s second major trophy of the 2025/26 season, following their earlier Serie A Femminile triumph.

Oladipo, who has been a key figure in Roma’s defence throughout the campaign, played the full 90 minutes in the final. Her consistent performances earned her recognition as the Best Defender in the Italian top flight for the 2025/26 season.

Babajide, a versatile forward, was an unused substitute in the final but remained an important attacking option for the team.

Across all competitions, Babajide made 14 appearances this season, recording one goal and three assists, while Oladipo featured in 31 matches, highlighting her durability and importance in Roma’s defensive setup.

The domestic double represents a major milestone for both players as Roma continue to strengthen their dominance in Italian women’s football.

For the Super Falcons duo, the successful campaign ends on a positive note, boosting their confidence ahead of upcoming international duties with Nigeria.
