CDCFIB announces major update in ongoing recruitment exercise

The Federal Government has announced a major update in the Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board, CDCFIB, recruitment exercise. The update was contained in a statement issued on Friday by Okeh Juliet, Head of Press for the Secretary to the Board.

The board advised applicants to disregard unofficial directives on dress code and document requirements ahead of the medical screening phase.According to CDCFIB, there is no prescribed dress code for candidates taking part in the medical screening scheduled to begin on Sunday, June 22, 2026.

It reiterated that applicants for the Nigeria Correctional Service, NCoS, Nigeria Immigration Service, NIS, Federal Fire Service, FFS, and Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, should simply wear normal, decent attire. The board also warned candidates against bringing any credentials to the screening venues, as no document verification will be conducted during the medical exercise.

“Any information directing candidates to wear a particular dress code or bring their credentials should be disregarded, as such directives did not emanate from the Board,” the statement read.
