Drama in Kebbi as Hisbah Arrests Man Hidden Inside Bag at Married Woman’s Home

The Kebbi State Hisbah Board has arrested a man allegedly found hiding inside a “Ghana Must-Go” bag at the residence of a married woman in the Badariya area of Birnin Kebbi.

The Board’s Director of Sharia, Sirajo Kamba, confirmed the incident in a statement issued on Tuesday.

According to Kamba, residents alerted Hisbah officials at about 12:15 a.m. on Monday, May 18, after observing suspicious movements around the woman’s residence.

He said the report was triggered by concerns over alleged illicit conduct contrary to Islamic teachings, prompting immediate notification of the authorities.

“Upon receiving the report, the Kebbi State Hisbah Board swiftly deployed officers to investigate,” Kamba said.

He explained that upon arrival, Hisbah operatives requested permission to search the premises, but the woman initially denied that anyone else was inside the house.

However, she later granted access, and during the search, the suspect was allegedly discovered concealed inside a “Ghana Must-Go” bag.

Kamba added that preliminary findings suggested an alleged romantic relationship between the two individuals.

According to him, both suspects reportedly admitted to the allegation during interrogation and are expected to be charged to court in line with Islamic legal provisions.
