In a bid to promote harmony and uphold freedom of worship, Governor Nwifuru has reaffirmed his commitment to sustained collaboration with various religious denominations to strengthen interfaith dialogue, which he described as critical to state-building and development.

The governor, while appreciating religious groups in the state for their continued support and understanding, assured that his administration would maintain strong partnerships with faith-based organisations to deliver good governance, in line with the People’s Charter of Needs Agenda.

He also called on the Muslim Ummah and followers of Prophet Muhammad to, as a matter of moral urgency, pray to Allah for peace, unity, love, and social cohesion among Nigerians.

Reflecting on the significance of Eid-el-Kabir, Governor Nwifuru noted that the numerous challenges confronting the country can be addressed through sincere supplication and repentance.

“Sacred occasions like this not only offer us the opportunity but also the rare privilege to seek spiritual solutions to the many physical challenges facing us as a nation,” he said. “Eid-el-Kabir presents such an opportunity to seek Allah’s guidance and intervention.”

The governor urged Muslims to use the season to promote Nigeria’s collective interest, emphasising that peace, unity, and love remain essential pillars for addressing the nation’s diversity.

“As we celebrate this sacred festival, I encourage our Muslim brothers and sisters to pray for peace across the country, unity in the pursuit of a common national vision, and love for one another to strengthen social cohesion,” he added.

Governor Nwifuru further reiterated his administration’s resolve to continue fostering collaboration with religious bodies to enhance interfaith dialogue and inclusive governance.

“As a government, we will continue to partner with religious organisations to deliver good governance, as enshrined in the People’s Charter of Needs Agenda,” he said.
