The Leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele, on Sunday warned Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke to stay vigilant ahead of the upcoming governorship election. In a statement signed by his media aide, Osho Oluwatosin, Primate Ayodele said Adeleke has been “anointed” to win a second term, but the APC will make moves to seize victory after the polls.
The cleric urged the governor not to let his guard down, alleging there are plans to pressure the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, to compromise.“In Osun, God has already anointed Ademola Adeleke to secure a second term. He will win, but the APC are working on the aftermath of that win.
They will attempt to snatch victory from Adeleke if he isn’t careful.“The governor must keep close watch and have eyes on the ground because they have concluded plans to go beyond the ballot to grab victory by all means. Adeleke must hold on to his win till the very end,” he said.Primate Ayodele also warned INEC Chairman, Prof.
Joash Amupitan, against allowing himself to be used by the opposition in Osun. He said the chairman would face consequences if he fails to ensure a free process.“If the election is rigged, the INEC chairman will suffer for it, and those who push him into it will abandon him.
It’s better he allows the process to go as it should to avoid trouble after the election.“He shouldn’t let Osun politicians use him. If he does, God will be angry, and Nigerians will not take it lightly with him,” he added.
