The Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency of Nigeria (SMEDAN) and its partners have earmarked ₦20 billion to support about 25,000 micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) with digital technology.
The initiative is aimed at helping businesses adopt digital tools, improve productivity, expand their markets and strengthen their competitiveness.
The programme is expected to provide participating MSMEs with access to technology, capacity-building and other forms of business support.
SMEDAN said greater digital adoption would enable small businesses to improve operations and take advantage of opportunities in Nigeria’s growing digital economy.
The initiative also reflects broader efforts to strengthen MSMEs, which remain a major contributor to employment and economic activity across the country.
Stakeholders said empowering businesses with digital skills and tools would help them adapt to changing market conditions and build more sustainable enterprises.
